This Privacy Policy explains how 1000 James Apartments LLC ("JAP", "we", "us") collects, uses and shares personal data when you use our websites, console, APIs and cross-border communications services (the "Services"). It applies to our customers, their authorised users, visitors to our websites and — to the extent we process them on a customer's behalf — the recipients of interactions carried through the platform.
1. Data we collect
Account data: name, company, email address, mobile phone number, country, password hash and billing details. Consent data: the timestamp of your acceptance of the Terms of Service and Privacy Policy, and your standing consent to receive account communications. Usage data: API calls, console activity, IP addresses, device and log information. Traffic data: recipient identifiers, sender identifiers, message content, corridor and routing metadata, call detail records and delivery receipts, processed on behalf of the sending customer. Support data: your correspondence with our support mailbox.
2. How we use data
We use data to provide and operate the Services (resolving destinations, carrying interactions and evidencing delivery), to secure the platform against fraud, spam and abuse, to meet registration and reporting obligations in destination markets, to bill and settle usage, to provide support, to comply with law and carrier requirements, and — where you have consented — to send you service and product communications.
3. Registration consents and opt-out
Creating an account requires two explicit confirmations, both recorded against your account. The first is your acceptance of the Terms of Service and this Privacy Policy. The second is your consent to receive account-related communications from JAP at the email address or mobile number you supplied — verification codes, security notices and critical service alerts. Message frequency varies, and message and data rates may apply. Reply STOP to any message to opt out, or HELP for assistance; you may also withdraw consent from the console at any time. Opting out of verification messages may limit account features. Consent to receive these messages is not a condition of purchasing any other service, and we never share numbers collected for this purpose with third parties for their own marketing.
4. Sharing
We share data with mobile carriers, interconnect partners, OTT channel providers and registries as necessary to carry interactions, lease numbers and complete required registrations in the destination market; with service providers (hosting, analytics, payments) under written contract; with professional advisers; with authorities where law requires it; and in connection with a corporate transaction. We do not sell personal data.
5. International transfers
Carrying communications across borders necessarily means transferring data across borders — that is the service you are buying. Where we transfer personal data out of a jurisdiction that restricts transfers, we rely on an appropriate safeguard, ordinarily the European Commission's standard contractual clauses or the UK international data transfer addendum, together with technical measures such as encryption in transit.
6. Retention
Account and consent data is retained for the life of the account and for as long afterwards as legal, tax and accounting obligations require. Message content is processed transiently for carriage and troubleshooting and is then deleted or anonymised. Delivery metadata, corridor traces and call detail records are retained for up to 13 months for billing, audit, fraud prevention and quality measurement, unless a longer period is required by law or a regulator in a destination market.
7. Security
We apply industry-standard safeguards: encryption in transit, hashed credentials, network segmentation, least-privilege access, audit logging and periodic review of interconnect partners. No system is perfectly secure; where an incident affects your personal data we will notify you and the relevant authorities as applicable law requires.
8. Your rights
Depending on your jurisdiction you may have the right to access, correct, delete, restrict or port your personal data, and to object to certain processing. Where we act as a processor for a customer's traffic data, we will refer your request to that customer and support them in answering it. Residents of the EEA and the UK may complain to their supervisory authority. Residents of California have rights under the CCPA/CPRA, including the right not to be discriminated against for exercising them. To exercise any right, write to the mailbox listed at the foot of this page.
9. Cookies
Our websites use strictly necessary cookies for authentication, session management and security, and privacy-respecting aggregate analytics. We do not run third-party advertising trackers and we do not build advertising profiles.
10. Children
The Services are directed at businesses and are not intended for individuals under 18. We do not knowingly collect personal data from children.
11. Changes to this policy
We may update this policy from time to time. The revised version will be published on this page with a new effective date, and account holders will be notified of material changes through the console or by email. We do not redirect this policy to a third-party site, so this page is always the authoritative version.
